Dear Kari

April 18th, 2005

This afternoon, I went for my first run outside of the Tri-Cities since the year 2001. Woohoo! This time I had one of my songs on my MP3 Player (Nike Jordan psa256max). I run to Stone Temple Pilots, Revis, Seether, Linkin Park, Disturbed, and Threat Signal.

There were some really nice neighborhoods around. I still found it hard to relax and not think about people looking at me.

I am now convinced that at least 50% of my problems can be solved by consistant physical activity.

Now I remember how simple it is to work out. I forgot how little time it takes. So I'm not afraid to go outside now. Actually, it was a relief as soon as I was running down the street. It was like, "I'm free!" Now that I've gotten over that fear, I can't wait to learn how to get to other places besides Monroe, Pikes Place Market (damn fishes), Whidbey Island and Puyallup. I mean like the Fenix Underground, Guitar Center, well... it's never been a challenge, I just haven't done it.

Oh yeah. It's been so long since I knew what it was like to really really be hungry. I mean, I've been really hungry. But nothing compares to feeling hungry like this. Oh, what I would give to go to a mexican restaurant right now.

I feel really good tonight. After that run, I've been feeling better and better. It was the same way when I did Dance Dance Revolution. I wanted to go out to Karaoke, but I don't know my way to a karaoke bar yet! There's a lot of things I have to look forward to here.

What's more is that I can sing a lot better after running today. Tonight I feel like I have so much power behind my voice. It must have opened up my lungs or something. I feel fantastic. I guess my physical condition has a lot to do with the way I feel, but I think it's like that for a lot of people. If I just workout everyday, I think it'll help me change a lot of things in my life.

I am really excited about band practice this week. Wednesday. There are so many songs that I like that i want to work on them all, but I know I need to focus on one. I'm also going to like going to the gym and getting that started. I want to do that tomorrow. Bench press... mmm.

Wooohooo!
