Oh my goodness, could nobody have noticed? I could be mistaken, but it seems like the most accurate explanation for why I couldn't stay awake in work meetings.

I had the most horrible time in school with my eyes rolling back and I would start hallucinating or semi-dreaming. All because I hated what was being taught.
And the funniest part of it was that I recognized it as my brain trying to protect me from people using my brain as a dumpster. I was actually proud of this, I was like
MY BRAIN PROTECTS ME FROM BEING USED AS A TRASHCAN FOR PROPAGANDA, YEAH!
Absolutely insane. Reading the same page of a book over and over again.
"You need to get better grades, I'll pay you $50 for each A you get, $25 for each B"
I DON'T NEED YOUR MONEY I NEED HELP, USE YOUR MONEY TO HELP ME
